Ductal carcinoma

Hi, I'm JUDY C A.

Hello, I am new to the site. In August 2018 is when I had my breast surgery. I under went the Savi procedure. I went through 5 days of radiation. I am now on the road to healing. I am now on Letrozole, low dosage. I have not had any major setback on this medication. My question today is there a list of foods to avoid?
I have increased my Vitamins intake due to my radiation. Thank you, Judy

Hi, I'm Betti

When I had my treatments 5+ years ago I was only told to eat, don’t avoid anything. Saying this some things may taste different for a time but do eat and high protein foods help with the healing and drinks lots of water to stay hydrated.

Hi, I'm P French

I am currently taking Tamoxifen, and there are days where I want to stop…but I know the outcome if I stop. The side-effects are horrible for me… you have to talk to you doctor directly and find out if stopping is the best choice for you. I hope this helps!

Hi, I'm cindyratt

I am due to start Tamoxifen shortly. What are the horrible side effects you are talking about. I know we are all different, but forewarned is forearmed.

Hi, I'm Betti

Talk with your team about possible side effects. When I start a new medication I make sure my pharmacy gives me the printout that comes with the med. Some are pretty lengthy but they cover everything. Not everyone experiences the same side effects.

Hi, I'm Karen H.

I am in my 4th year of Tamoxifen. Side effects were horrible, nausea, hot flashes. My oncologist put me on 37.5 MG of Venlafaxine. It is a miracle drug. Changed my life, I finally feel normal again. I highly recommend. Very mild if any hot flashes and nausea gone.

Hi, I'm Elicia M B.

4months of Tamoxifen put me in the hospital for a reconstruction of a twisted colon! Tamoxifen removed all the potassium in my body . Very painful 10 days in the hospital . Because it was on my med list they continued to give in to me while in the the hospital! I ended up there again 4 days after being dismissed!! They had to replenish my body with 7 more liters of potassium! Needless to say I didn’t continue taking it . I am now on an alternative called Protocel that is curing my cancer! Anyone can cure cancer with Protocel without any side effects and it gives you energy to function in life while you are be cured. IT WORKS!!!! Find all information about it on “OUTSMART YOUR CACER” website! I made the right decision : my last PET scan showed all my bone metastasis healed . It is now working on my lungs . My next PET in April! I expect my cancer to be gone or nearly gone!!!!! Be wise and at least get the information before you decide to keep taking medical poison . BTW I had only been taking it 6 months when it had healed my bones!!

I am 49 years old and have been on Tamoxifen for one year. I had some leg cramps at the beginning which magnesium and staying hydrated helped and now I have NO side effects at all.
